(how to) hook up ipod to PS3

and actually be able to pick and choose what songs you want to listen to.
my lists on the IPOD control on the PS3 are just crazy random letters.
like:
YUCR
RGGT
HTRU
PLOQ
JHUN
each one of them is a song but i owuld have to search through1700 songs to find the one i want to play!
anyone know an easier way or how to get my songs actually listed to be read?

Don't know if you can do anything about it as that's what the Ipod does to the MP3s. It's one of the crappy things about the Ipod.
