How many of you are sick of facebook?

I just deleted...at least my personal one for the 10th time, I find it so addicting I keep on reactivating it just to see all the stupid shit everyone writes and then deleting it again....what do you think? enough is enough or is it still in?

I have one. I have about 60 friends, out of whom only about 13 I actually talk to, I've been deleting a lot of people as of late. I talk to a few people stateside, but I also talk to some friends over in Europe (Romania actually), which is probably the prime reason I keep it. I'm incredibly sick of it as well, it's gotten to be worse than Myspace, and has that whole "I haz 1,400,312 friends, look at me" feel. I can't stand seeing people who have like a thousand friends, adding people they meet that day for the hope of looking more cool or popular or whatever. And don't even get me started on all those different villes, nothing brightens my day like logging on and seeing that some dipshit needs 3 bricks, 2 pieces of wood and some concrete to build an outhouse in Farmville. You know what I'd rather you build with those? How about a box to bury yourself in so I don't have to be bothered by that anymore?

I really like it Stacey, but then I don't use it all that much.
I keep my friends list pretty small, and they're all real friends - no extraneous add ons.

Answering E-mails, dealing with client calls, bullshitting with friends and family and yes, posting here is all I want to deal with so no F book acct for me! I'm really kinda incognito and I generally like to keep a low profile in everything I do . . . stay outta trouble thata way.
I'm also very wary of being categorized and catalogued in some giant database, I don't know, it just sorta creeps me out. :hatsoff:

On the surface I would nearly agree with you, but the sheer ubiquitous nature of facebook makes me want to kill people. All of those social networking sites make me so sick. Just more tools that people use to make themselves think that what they do and the opinions they have are acutally important. I have a way of keeping in touch with family and friends that live far away, too. It's called a telephone. I also have a way of socially networking that doesn't involve a computer, its called going out into society. I've never heard a good story about facebook. Everything I ever hear about it on the news is how some kid got bullied and eventually killed themseleves or whatnot. Just another step towards people becoming more and more self important and less connected with the society around them. Facebook... bah!

On an unrelated note, I'm starting a site soon called ShitFacedBook. You'll have to attach a breathalyzer to your computer (like the ones they attach to your car after you've gotten a dui) and you have to blow into it and register as legally drunk before you can log on.
