***How many OCSMs here would do a modeling assignment for a fan if it was in a safe place?***

I'm genuinely curious about this, as it's something that's on my bucket list to do - probably next year (I have a certain car on order that I want captured in time before I screw it up). For whatever your per hour modeling fee happens to be, how many OCSMs here would take an assignment where they'd shoot a photo set with a fan/for a fan, at a known studio or in a location where someone would be present that you know?

Oh and to be clear, I'm talking semi-nude to nude modeling, not a porn shoot or even toys - no physical interaction with the photographer or anyone else. More of a risque/erotic glamor set.

And for any who'd be kind enough to answer, not including the photog's fee, what would be say, a good ballpark fee for some of you?

I'm curious as to what the cost would be, for a model, with a body gaurd, at a safe location, would charge for a fan to do the photographic work, including full nudity, and solo work, with toys, but absolutely NO interaction with the fan, other then following his direction, for the shoot.

I'd be happy to... especially on the weekend of the 2015 British GP at Silverstone. But I'd have a hard time fitting my car into the overhead compartment.

But seriously, assuming the shoot would take about two hours of your time, from set-up to final shot, would you mind giving a ballpark of what that would cost in your case? And how would one book you? Is there a listing somewhere that shows yours agent's contact info?

With two previous cars, I've tried to do this. I was serious about it then, but I'm more serious now. The first time I was dealing with a pro photog, who I personally knew, but a younger amateur model and her family flaked about her doing a bikini shoot. The other one involved a photographer in Ohio, who wanted money up front before I personally met and spoke with the model, and the model he was going to provide (and she really did appear to be just what I was looking for) turned out to have been killed in a car accident several months before.

Dealing with an agent is OK with me - I expect that. But I'm OK with it because that should keep it on the up & up (legally) for the model and for me.

I can't go into details but a used to be well know model I knew very well at the time (and know kinda well now) came to my house 3 times to shoot for her site. She showed up once and did some pix. The house got remodeled so she came back and shot at the house but because it was changed so much you never would have known she was here the 1st time so she shot in the same house but the pix looked like she was somewhere else. I was here all 3 times. Let's just say that was an experience I will never forget

Not asking you to reveal specific $ amounts, but can you give a general ballpark of what the per hour charge might be if you did a modeling assignment like I'm describing? If I was in L.A. or a major city, I know this would be so much simpler. But I'm not... so I know I'm probably going to have to do a road trip to make this happen. Any advice on contacting and verifying that the agent that I'm talking to is actually the agent of the girl that I want? Is Model Mayhem reliable and on the up & up... or do they have a lot of people playing games and pretending to know or be people they're not?

I was really hoping more OCSMs would contribute to this thread and give me some direction or advice. Maybe just a little primer on the best/safest way to choose a model, photographer and/or agent, based on your experiences.

Wow Rey, who'd have thought that these OCSMs... oh, forget it.

Your best bet is to find a photographer first. Not all of them just shoot weddings. They have portfolios with commercial and glamor and other stuff. Some also shoot nudes. Look at their work to see how their pictures come out first. They will run you $300-500 per hour. They will also know models that they have worked with and glad to match you up them. These models also have portfolios to look at. Having worked together is a big plus. Figure the model for about the same price and no more. This can be done locally. Your model will be just as good as any you will find here. Just a little footwork to be done.

I've done shoots like this in the past plenty of times although I will only do non nude in shoots of this kind. What you have to think about is that it has to be worth the model's time to do it so you will probably have to find a local model to where you are planning on doing the shoot. Otherwise you will probably have to pay the model's travel expenses on top of her shooting fee on top of the photographers fee.

Model Mayhem is a good place to find local models/photographers to you. But with the pricing, it could range anything from $100 an hour up to $500 an hour. It really does depend on the individual model and what they charge.

On the other hand, if you would like to model for me like thousands of other have done, it will be for free. And yeah, same rules of mine apply.
