I don't think Hitler really deserves a waxwork...

Why not? Its history! It doesnt mean that they "love" or worship Hitler!

I think it's actually pretty great... :2 cents:

It's an act of protest, and a damn good one.

Why not? Its history! It doesnt mean that they "love" or worship Hitler!

They should put him next to the waxwork of Bin Laden.

anybody who glorifies or pays tribute to that piece of shit deserves to have a labotomy performed on them; and their tribute to such scum should be shown the most disgraceful insult one could afflict on a piece of art; whatever that may be!! :flame::ak47:

again I have to agree with the poster above.. protest; contempt; anger; denounce anything and everything that piece of shit stood for and all the atrocities he commited.. :crash: :fight::thefinger

I don't think that it's wrong. It's important to not whitewash history and to accurately say what really happened, especially if it's horrible and offensive.

on the other hand, if people don't want a Hitler replica in their town, and it seems that a lot of people were making that clear and the exhibit may have just been trying to cash in on the controversy, then they shouldn't have put it up, and it was right and funny for that guy to knock him out like Tyson.

It's a good thing that we value history and try to learn from its lessons, but in this case they should have taken a frakking flamethrower to the whole mess.

::shrugs:: Both sides are right.

They have a right to make their art, and someone else has a right to unmake that art.

You know another reason why we shouldnt ~accept~ hitler in the least, though?

That's right. He's not looking just down and depressed in those picturres, HE'S ALL EMO ABOUT IT! ::rips an arm off in disgust::

You know what if I saw that kid/guy out in public somewhere they would be picking up a dead body and I would be serving a lifetime bid.. cuz I would either stomp/pummel the living shit/hell of it; or if I happen to have been packin that day; I probably would have walked up to that piece of shit starred him in the eyes and just might have shot him right between the eye's... yes I am quite hostile when somebody pushes the right buttons!! and I know I would be wrong for commiting such a violent act; but I would be setting an example for the next dumb fuck that would take the chance of offending the wrong person... and that person would be me...

if you have the guts to express your feelings in public you should expect somebody to oppose; protest; or engage your expression in a violent manner.. and that would be me.. I am so disgusted by that image I almost left it off my post.. but I just wanted to make sure their was no doubt what all my hostility and my graphic violence and pure hatred is being directed at!!! some may think I would be a monster if I walked up and smoked that fucker with a hot one right between the eye's!!! and maybe I would be that..

but I also know alot of people would understand what I might have done as a example of such a person would portray; publicly show admiration; loyalty; or sympathetic to one of worlds most cowardly dispicable piece's of shit that ever lived.. again I am very passionate about stuff and I know I like to ramble when I am on a role.. I could be short with easy and simple phrases and always be vague and coy with my feelings; but I feel like I was supposed to be the lead singer of some band like zack de la rocha and just spit venom and speak the truth and denounce the hatred in the air and all the injustice of the world... thats why I ramble cuz I think I am ZDLR and I am venting on a world wide forum..

so in the future all of you who dislike me or don't like or understand my POV's or my thoughts or beliefs you can thank RATM for alot of my depth of thought and my passion for telling or conveying the whole picture instead of just a simple vague clue or a hint of what I am talking about.. thats it!!! now I know why I write so feverishly when I post!!! blame ZDLR.. I guess I picked my attention to detail from him..:hatsoff:

I agree with calpoon that history is something that has already happened, and should be documented in an unbiased manner. If we were to censor certain parts of history we would be doing exactly what the Nazis did: disseminating propaganda, instead of teaching history.

Exactly -- what the fuck? What about if it was a statue of Stalin, would his head be ripped off then? After all more innocent people have died because of communism than under Hitler. Yet people don't care because we only hear about the evil Hitler did, we are taught that he is the most evil person in history when in reality there have been thousands of people more evil than he.

It's history. These fanatics are the same people saying, "lest we forget," and then they do shit like this to remove all traces of Nazi history. "Out of sight, out of mind" should be their motto instead -- what do they think, if they destroy every image of Adolf Hitler, they will erase that part of history like it never happened?

So fucking stupid.

Oh hell no you didn't just say that shit!! fuck that nobodies stupid!! these evil fucks we speak of they are already remembered in history by way of text books; in news papers; in documentries; and their are pictures of them in those item's to remember the sick fucks for who they were.. unfortunately its history and it will never be forgotten.. they don't deserve fuckin statue's or portraits of them made by some fanatic or somebody who idolized; was sympathetic; worshipped; or believed in their cause..

if people are destroying statue's of these evil fucks who were so evil it just goes to show that evil fucks that killed like saddam; hitler; osama bin laden; stalin; and every other mad dictator that killed thousands; even millions of people to achieve their twisted goals.. people don't wanna see that respect; admiration; or even the acknowledgment being given to such a piece of shit; fuck that.. no evil tyrant like that should be glorified; by being immortalized by the likes of a statue...

you wanna stare at a piece of shit like that or see what the fuck looked like or you respect them for some reason go rent the fuckin documentry; go read the fuckin history books.. look them up online... but those scum fuckers get no respect and shouldn't have anything to glorify them!!! somebody taking the time to build some kind of art work like that?? thats so fuckin stupid!!! :dunno:

I'm surprised they even could make a figure of him, I thought anything Nazi related was banned in Germany nowadays. :dunno:

The numpty above stated why not put him beside Bin Laden. Well Bin Laden is more of an American problem [and those muppets that support them]. Hitler wasn't. He was the worlds problem. He was a whole different ball game. With or without anyone's help Hitler would still have done what he did. Bin Laden wouldn't have been able to do as much damage as he did without the help and assistance that he got, which in turn enabled him to do what he did years down the line. Hitler is a part of history and should be treated as such. Be it in songs, movies, documentary programmes, waxwork models, etc. Just like other things and people in history as well.

It is only the narrow minded masses that jump up and shout Nazi Supporter and point the finger when they see someone do something about Hitler and his brigade of demented loonies. I am interested in WWII be it in books video games movies documentery programmes, etc. I like to see it from both sides of the fence, to learn more. If you just speak of the allies side all the time and dont learn or rather ignore the axis side, why even bother to begin with. For you will only ever know half the picture.

I would have punched in the throat the retard that ripped the head off of the waxwork, not because it was Hitler, but because the culprit is like a lot of society... narrow minded simpletons that will never see the bigger picture. The kind of person doomed to keep on repeating the same old cycles of stupidity through a lack of knowledge on anything important. They see something they dont like then they throw sticks and stones at it till to goes away.

I'm surprised they even could make a figure of him, I thought anything Nazi related was banned in Germany nowadays. :dunno:

The news article I read yesterday stated that Germany is starting to ease up on such things, but things like the Swatstika are still banned. And anyway I dont see why they shouldn't put a waxwork of him in the museum it is history and old Adolf is a part of history, like it or not.

I agree. A lot of kids don't really care about WW2 and history, and in Germany it is still a sore point. More kids these days are more concerned with game consols and the latest bands than what went on before them.

If we are going to learn from mistakes of the past - there have been numerous threads on here over the years re genocide and wars - than the whole general public should be aware of what went on. If that means having a waxwork of Hitler so people can actually connect (not in physical terms) with who he was, than yes, I think the waxwork was a good idea. School children need to have history alive and 3D, rather than pictures in books to help them understand.

Ok, some people would come to see it as their hero, but they would be a very small minority. In the context of a museum where the full story of the Nazi regime and what went on can be told, I'm sure that even the most firm neo-Nazi would have conflicting thoughts about what they are doing, and it would certainly put off the weaker members.

I get your point, but at the same time terrorism (which Bin Laden symbolizes) has been and will continue to be a global problem.

Well I wasn't entirely serious.
