Anyway, this might be a first, in that I'm linking to an article from Marie Claire magazine. (Has that happened before?)
This essay is about how a guy discovers that his ****** became some kind of porn star / prostitute, and how he thinks that her earlier years set her up for it, and that most/all pornstars have similarly sad or outright tragic stories. I'm sure there's some stuff in here to argue about (he definitely seems to take the women-in-porn-are-victims brand of feminism as his own here), but still, I found it reasonably thought-provoking and fairly well-written:
