Have you ever fought, or wanted to fight your Dad?

Explain your choices. This could make for an interesting thread.

I think I'm going to. I won't get into details, but he has one Chance to explain himself or heads will fucking roooooooollllllllllll.

The one and only.
Nope. And we've never even been close to coming to blows. I never really had any huge arguments with my parents. Maybe I should have been more rebellious...

I have actually, twice.

My dad is Irish and because he obviously loves the stereotype, he's a big drinker. Basically that's it. On two occasions he was drunk and I said or did something that pissed him off and in that drunken state and a few punches were thrown. I think the last one was about my thinking of quitting school, I didn't but I was seriously thinking about it.

He's never usually agressive. Only on those occasions for some reason :dunno:. We have a weird relationship. But I think the two fights we had actually made us closer in a strange sort of way. And I have my own place now so there isn't as much male testosterone in the house as there used to be.

I wouldnt fight my Dad.

This remind me of the time my friend pop jacked him up like paper.
My friend tho he was all that , and his pop jacked him up like paper , and said so you think you're a man now. He had my friend crying like a little bitch LOL

Never fought my Dad. I fought the town drunk (aka my uncle) on Christmas Eve once. :)

What about, "yes, but I should NOT have"?

Is somewhere outhere.
We have had a few verbal arguments. But when we did fight we were
both on the same side and kicked ass.

So I don't think I could fight against him as he is my father :)

Not sure how to answer the poll options......slammed against a wall and threatened to beat him over the head with a telephone......finally just let him go.......grabbed him by the ear and tossed him out of the house.......does that count?

My father and I haven't spoken for about going on 3 years now I guess.

He married his girlfriend, and I wasn't invited to the wedding, but her oldest son was his best man. He paid in full for all of her grandchildren to go college, while he didn't give me one penny. One of her sons was about to be evicted from his home because he hadn't paid on his house payment for months. My dad paid all of the backpayment, and gave him enough money to cover the house payments for the next 6 months and also enough money to cover bills. I on the other hand, struggled from week to week trying to save enough money up so at the beginning of the next month, I could pay my rent.

His new wife told me that she wished I was dead and prays that I never wake up in the morning, and once told me she hoped I'd die on the toliet. When I confronted my dad about this, he told me in a very calm voice, "Oh, that's just something you and her are going to have to work out."

I no longer care what my father does or doesn't do.

Holy shit, that's one of the worst things I have ever heard. You seem to be keeping a cooler head than I would.
