When I was in elementary school, 4th grade I think, we were learning how to write letters and had to pick some famous person to write. I wrote the creator of Garfield (Jim Davis) and never heard from him....until mid year 5th grade when I got a letter personally written from him. It came in a Garfield envelope on Garfield stationary covered in a bunch of Garfield stickers and was hand written. That was pretty exciting back then. ;-)
Mia Rose (pornstar, not the singer)...well technically I talked (emailed) with Ava Rose as well but only like 2 or 3 times. Mia actually contacted me first because I had made a slideshow video for youtube featuring famous pornstars (including her). But we only talked for about 3 months. Also, I e-mailed a glamour model once with a question concerning her modeling and she replied within 30 minutes.
Overall I think you're more likely to get replies if you ask a specific question or something special and not just saying hi. At least that's my own experience.

I have never e-mailed a celebrity or a mainstream star before and never wanted to really. Now that I think about it being a fan of some of things I am, like adult models among other small things, it's different. Unlike the stars of big time mainstream things the fans can actually have a good chance to communicate with a large group of people in the adult world and have a good chance of being answered back by many of them. I sort of like it like that. If you wanted to communicate with some big time Hollywood star for example it would be almost impossible to ever do, and if you did it your probably either lucky or it was a near unique experience. Yet even on this board there are Officially Checked Star Members that will take the time to answer a question once in a while.
