Hatton ponders Mayweather rematch

I hate to say it but Hatton is finished, deep down he knows it too but until he figures out what to do with himself beyond boxing a comeback will always be on the cards.

Unfortunately it's very possible that this fight might happen due to economics. Mayweather has always said that he regretted not fighting over here (The UK) and a re-match would sell out Wembley Stadium with 100,000 people not to mention the PPV. It would make both of them and all the hangers-on a colossal amount of money, much more than a Mayweather v Pacquaio fight. I really hope Hatton doesn't take it though as he'll be embarrassed, besides he looked in awful shape the other week on Soccer am.

I like Ricky Hatton the man but he has got to hang his gloves up and persue his real calling - competitive eating.

He is great at promoting his fights to credulous northerners but I doubt that even they would be willing to shell out to watch him embarrass himself three times in a row.

have not other great fighters lost:dunno:
only to comeback better and win?

The answer is yes. But Hatton is not one of the all time great fighters. He's just a good fighter. He's clearly not in Mayweather's league. :wave2:

hatton really needs to give it up. all he'll end up doing if he carries on is further damaging his reputation and maybe doing himself some serious harm physically

If Hatton does decide fight Maywhether again, I like to see Hatton beat Waywether. On paper Maywhether should beat Hatton but in real life you never know.

Mayweather all time great................................

I was pulling for Hatton (although i knew he had little chance) when they fought but there's no reason for a rematch. Mayweather dominated the first fight and would do the same in a rematch.

Frazier Ali no need for a rematch

Frazier dominated

True.

Mayweather all time great................................

That’s correct. In his division or pound for pound I think if you asked most people who really know boxing or experts or most world boxing champions including Ricky Hatton most will agree that Mayweather has already assured himself a place amongst the all time greats of boxing. :hatsoff:

ali lost his best years due to suspension
