Has Anybody Here Never Been In A Fistfight In Their Life?

I know a couple of people too. I don't know if I think it's odd though, I think that depends on the person. I mean, one of the people I'm talking about, is the most easy to get along with, laid back dude you will ever meet. So I guess that's about as good a reason as you can find/ I never liked fighting much, and I can't remember starting more then 1 or 2 back in school, but otherwise, I just let life slide by, until the limit was reached, then did what I had to do.

I have a tenant who is a screenwriter. He told me he's never been in a fight. I told him, "You must be really good with your mouth." He could figure out how I meant that.

Well the fact is90% of fights are won, before they even start to get physical. How you conduct, and carry yourself, and the things you say, and how you say them, all set the tone.

I've never really been in a fist fight. I started taking martial arts when I was fifteen and have been in tons of sparring matches, and there was a Police Athletic League in my town when I was 17 and we did a lot of boxing. But as far as anything I would call an Every Which Way But Loose toe-to-toe fight fight, meh, not really. When I was a senior in high school a guy I had considered a friend since 7th grade came up to me before 1st bell one morning and said, "We were all talking down at the ball field yesterday about if anyone thought they could beat you in a fight." I wasn't down at the ball field because I wasn't in the, "athletic" program, he went on to say, "I think I could whip you." I just shrugged my shoulders and said, "let's take it out in the hall." He tried to grab me and I just stepped to the side and tripped him. He got up and grabbed my shirt, I hit the outside of his elbow with the palm of my hand and shoved him back again. I said, "are you trying to fight me or make out with me?" I guess he was satisfied with having put his hands on me because he went back in the classroom. I walked down to the principal's office and told the principal what happened. All the "athletes" got their ass chewed. I would have fought every one of those little twerps, I certainly wasn't afraid of a fight, I just don't roll looking for one.

It must be at least 25 years since the last time I took part to any physical fight
