Seth MacFarlane: '****** Guy' Movie Coming, Show Maybe Should Have Ended

He's already larger than life, and now Peter Griffin is headed to the big screen.

Seth MacFarlane, creator of the hit series "****** Guy" and the empire it spawned, tells The Hollywood Reporter that there is a deal in place to create a film featuring Griffin ****** and the rest of the zany world of Quahog. In fact, he envisions a new film every few years, instead of continuing on with the television series.

"Part of me thinks that '****** Guy' should have already ended. I think seven seasons is about the right lifespan for a TV series," he said -- the show is now on its seventh season, after having been canceled in 2001 and brought back in 2004. "I talk to the fans and in a way I'm kind of secretly hoping for them to say we're done with it. There are plenty of people who say the show is kind of over the hill… but still the vast majority go pale in the face when I mention the possibility."

The film, THR says, is currently being written, with a deal already in place. They've already put out a number of direct-to-DVD films, including, "****** Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story" and "****** Guy Presents: It's a Trap!"

****** Guy sucks ever since it came back in 2005 or whenever it was. I remember 2005. Whatever it sucks. I enjoy the episodes up until they were cancelled.

This doesn't bother me. If it ends soon, I'll have fond memories of it, like the girlfriend you once had. You knew your time together was up, so you ended it on good terms and continue to be friends to this day.

As much as I love ****** Guy, it probably is time for it to end. In my opinion the show is getting stale, and whenever they try to do something to freshen it up, it usually ends up being something bizarre and not that funny.

Not to mention, the jokes are being stretched way too thin between ****** Guy, American *** and The Cleveland Show.

Yeah, and they won't just be ripping on music videos this time around......any/all video is fair game in the new version.



With a "The Simpsons" movie already in the can, & a "****** Guy" movie on the horizon, and the new "Bevis & Butthead," can a "King of the Hill" movie be too far behind? :dunno: Now Brittany Murphy died and all since production ended, but still.....I could see it happening.



Now, if "****** Guy" is code for "Will E Worm".......I'm all for it coming to an end. But as "****** Guy" goes....I can take it or leave it at this point.......for me, most of the constantly running jokes have been done to death at this point. :2 cents:
