Nomacs, native webp support since version 1.6.0 on all platforms

Any software (with one exception) that I download from the web has to be portable (able to copy to a thumb drive and use it on other PC's).
All of my web browsers are a portable version.
FastStone is on https://portableapps.com - but I can't seem to find Nomacs and whether it is Portable. Even if it is, I don't know if I should trust that site. Have you used that site? Is Nomacs portable?
For those averse to .webp images, it is worth double checking when you go to right click and 'save as' any images you find on the internet.
For example, I often find images I want to save to my hard drive when going through reverse image searches on Yandex. This brings together images from many different sources on the web. If I see that the file type is going to be saved as .webp, instead of saving it, I click cancel and then right click and 'save as' again. I find that quite often it then comes up as a .jpg the 2nd time, allowing me to save it in the desired fashion. This doesn't always work, but it is a way of making sure you don't end up with .webp files unless you absolutely have to.
I don't know how it works exactly but it's as if the images are served in .webp format first and foremost on the initial load and if you allow a few seconds or something it then fully loads in .jpg or whatever other format... or something along those lines. Whatever the reasoning, this has enabled me to keep the amount of .webp files I end up with to a minimum.

My issue with WEBP is I find it surprising that it's not more widely accepted.
It wasn't created by ACME Inc., it was created by Google! I certainly have issues with Google, but this isn't one of them.
Most image hosts don't support WEBP. Xenforo doesn't support it.
Every now and then, I look for new image hosts to try. Over the years, I have literally tried hundreds, and I've only come across 7 hosts that accept WEBP.
Xnview and FastStone aren't bad. They don't take a lot of space, but the interface of each is overly done.
Nomacs takes more space, but the interface is much simpler. I like it the most.
This is important to me since I've been using the same thing (Picture Manager) ever since Microsoft released it.
I just found that the board software (Xenforo) is now allowing the hotlinking of WEBP pics, but still doesn't allow them as attachments.
Pixhost is fine.

I think the general consensus is more or less "use anything but Imgur".
That thread has a lot of sites that are no longer working, or do work, but shouldn't be used for one reason or another.
Imgur works (now), but personally I wouldn't use it for a number of reasons. The same for ImageBam and ImageVenue.
If the image you want to post is in WEBP format, you will find most hosts don't support that format which is stupid. Below are some host and I high-lited the one which support WEBP.

Non of them look highlited to me.
Maybe use Bold, italic, or font size to highlite.
Color highliting may not work for everyone.
It's the 3rd thru 7th links that support WEBP
perhaps its because I havent posted in ages ----I dont seem to have the option - Ive got insert link - insert image- smilies- insert media - " and insert table
