I've seen a lot of posts by "guests" lately (not really a lot but you get my meaning) and I have to ask as I've never seen these types of posts before; is this a new function of the site, or am I just insane?

No need to answer that second part. I don't want to insult your intelligence or lack there of . . . . oooooh he's such a bitch!

No, I love most of you equally.

So anyway now that all the unpleasantness is out of the way how is everyone tonight? Or this evening, afternoon, morning . . . whatever :rolleyes:.

I guest they must be ascared to post under an assumed name because they think this is "porn board" and don't want their assumed name to be associated with a "porn board."
That's my best guest on the subject.

I remember doing a serch for like the earliest posts one day (Hey! I was bored!) and came across "Guest" accounts from way back in the day. I just always thought they maybe changed it over at one point, but I guess you can still do it.

I'm not too certain how guest accounts are posting in the FreeOnes talk section, or any section except the registration or pay site review. I think it's a bug having to do with the merge...

Basically if a person forgets their board password and has to reset it, their account goes from being registered back to awaiting registration which makes them show up as a "guest." I think something in the process happened where the software still recognizes them as a registered member but also as a guest at the same time.

Some joined in 2005 and don't have a thousand posts. :rolleyes:

Btw...it was all Erik's fault.

The recent flourish of guests were registered members...but the board didn't display them as such. It's all fixed now though. No more guests. Only registered users. :D
