He's the worst. People say he's playing up being an asshole for TV, but yes, he needs a serious ass kicking. So many people look up to him and thats not the kind of role model people should have. Dude drives me nuts.

He actually knows his shit, when it comes to the kitchen, which I was told by a good friend, that's a chef himself. He's rich, and really is an asshole, the fake part is him being nice. His method for cooking something simple, like scrambled eggs, requires a math degree, and if I'm not mistaken, the mother fucker also owns a Ferrari, LaFerrari.

It's an act, it got him famous and that's what's expected of him. But he is a great chef and on Masterchef Junior he's great with the kids.

I always wonder if you put two plates of food in front of him and have him judge them based off of taste with one done by a legitimate expert and one done by somebody that's just alright how well he could tell the difference. The same if his own work was just blindly done in a test.

Would he actually know his stuff, or would it be like the so called wine experts that for the most part just make crap up and get fooled all the time by their preconceived biases?

I'd have trouble trying to name famous US chefs as it is let alone UK ones. I would struggle to name any famous chef in the world besides Jacques Pepin, and even that's only because I watched his shows on public broadcasting back in my childhood.

And that's part of my beef with him. I don't like the idea of someone who's famous for being a verbally abusive prick, be the go to dude. There's a huge problem with our society if our role models are assholes. Mind, I am also speaking from a professional side. I used to be a chef myself once upon a time and, in doing so, had an inside look at what his popularity did to the business, at least on the employee level. It wasn't good. I quit the entire industry because it was no longer fun. It became "in" to be an asshole in the kitchen, emulating what they seen on TV. I could go on and on, but yeah, fuck this guy.

And yeah, Jamie Oliver gives me second-hand embarrassment, but I can live with that.
