I grew up with two of the most wonderful parents anyone could ever ask for.
They taught me Love, Compassion, how to stand up for myself, and how to take care of myself.
I will be forever grateful to both of them.
I say To give your parents love a attention today because my father is fighting for his life in the ICU of our local hospital it was sudden and very unexpected.
We as a family were fortunate enough to have gotten together the night before and everyone had a wonderful time.
Its never too late and its always welcome.

Best of luck to your dad, Z. I hope he pulls through. I lost my dad when I was 17 and still miss him very much. My mother was a West Texas rock and stood tall until she passed away. She was the toughest and wisest person I ever knew. My wife is an ICU nurse and I hear her talk about work. She's witnessed miracle recoveries herself.

I'm very sorry to hear about your father and your family. I didn't have the opportunity to say goodbye to mine but during our last conversation shortly before the wreck that killed him, I was able to say "I love you." I always end every conversation with family with that, so if something happens to me or them, they'll know that, at least.

Sorry to hear that. I hope your Dad pulls through.
I lost my own Dad when I was 15. It was tough. My Mum has been a widow now for 31 years, so I feel for her more than myself.

You've heard it before but I'll say it again. Death is a part of life and it never comes at a good time.

My personal experiences with the passing of my mom. then dad, then my stepmom won't help you with your pain or situation. If for anything, no parent will say that their child's death could be less devastating than leaving behind children to live on. "I go first. You will continue with what I have given you." Parents love you and know that you love them. Parents don't have to hear "I love you" every day but it's a nice thing to do whenever you can.
