Giuliani: OWS Is Millstone Around Obama's Neck That Will Take Presidency Down
"I believe that Barack Obama owns the Occupy Wall Street movement," Rudy Giuliani said at the Defending the American Dream Summit. "It would not have happened, it would not have happened but for his class warfare. And remember, as it gets worse and worse because it's going to get worse and worse, where it came from. Barack Obama. He praised it. He supported it. He agrees with it. He sympathizes with it. And as it gets worse and worse, I believe this will be the millstone around Barack Obama's neck that will take his presidency down."
"How about you occupy a job. How about working? Working. I know that's tough," Giuliani also said.
Thats pretty funny that the quote WAS the entire article.
no context to why Guiliani made the statement (?), though I'd bet its safe to assume that it can be taken at its malicious face value.
For one, for Obama to 'claim'/own OWS would be self-sabotaging, right? I mean, if Obama was doing what he campaigned on, if Obama was listening to the people of the country......THESE PEOPLE wouldn't be in the streets, amirite?
Second, if you there were jobs to occupy, people wouldn't be unemployed. This is par for the course, though, for Giuliani who is about a deep thinker as the Philosoraptor
Most importantly, it bears reflection WHY protesters irritate people so much. What is the need to dismiss others (when it really has nothing to do with you)?
If Amnesty International or whomever sits-in at City Hall to call attention to an issue that doesn't get reported.......many people feel the need to attack them, even though it really has no bearing on their life (other than their psyche/pride, I guess).
Politics in America is like religion. You will find 'conservative' and 'liberals' fighting over politics the same as you would see Protestants and Christians arguing over dogma. They argue for the sake of arguing because at the end of the day, neither are LIVING THEIR LIFE based on their ideals. The Protestant or the Christian live no differently than the heathen. Their contention of the dogma bears no fruit in their life anyway.
What is interesting is history. If you just follow an event dispassionately and log the reasons or excuses for dismissing the minority voice, you'll see how fickle (hollow) the reasoning is (its usually just a cover for something else). Take a look at what the opposition to Wisconsin unions earlier this year and the people's response. Relative rationalizations; in Libya its 'democracy' in America its 'dissidents'.
I have.
They are smelly, whiny, unemployed, i phone and laptop using, handout asking asshats.
Like i said, if Giuliani was still mayor, these dolts would be chained together in the back of a prison bus, on their way upstate!

You shouldn't be so defensive when people point out your many flaws. You should just listen to their wisdom and
then work to reform your character. That is the Christian Way.
