What happened to the Girls Do Porn thread? There were over 400 pages of entries.
Yep, no one could follow the rules. Piracy and filesharing was rampant, personal information thrown out there all the time, it was a big mess.
It's been put away while we talk with the content owners and decide what to do about it.
You can't make comments on some threads approval only?
There is a possibility - correct me if I'm wrong, anybody - that this is function vBulletin simply does not support. The admins can make the rules of forum conduct, they can't change the functionality from within of how the forum works.

I saw this on a vbullitin site:
Looks like that might be the answer to the problem.

So, what's to stop anyone from creating a new thread of their own doing the same thing as in the old thread?
Trust me guys, Adam and I didn't wake up one morning and decide, "Hey! I know what we can do to fuck with our board members! Lets pull the GDP thread!"
Behind the scenes, this has been an ongoing issue since 2009 at least. But it didn't reach unmanageable level until now, when we pulled it.
You have a great site. I don't understand why you want to make it so difficult for your members. Seems like you would do everything you could to keep your members and gain new ones too.
Having that forum made me want to be a member. Knowing a few more details about what you are seeing is what interests a lot of us. My desire to keep a membership has diminished greatly since the forum went away. You have a great site. I don't understand why you want to make it so difficult for your members. Because in the real world, where FreeOnes is a website and a business and not just a forum, the relationships with content providers like the guys that run GDP is one of the most important things, far more important that maintaining a thread for discussion where we have no guarantee that those discussions are being generated by people that will ever contribute $0.01 to the coffers of FreeOnes, of GDP or of the porn industry overall. If FO allow conduct on the board that hacks off content providers, it can be very detrimental.
Not just relevant to this topic, but EVERY decision made or rule enforced in the running of this forum has to do with perceived reward vs risk to this site, whether it is financial, legal or reputational. Nobody puts up barriers to having fun discussions just for shits and giggles, but for VERY GOOD reasons, whether those reasons are easy to understand / made explicit or not.
