I said "Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ Gave you that Gift" as a joke because I know you don't believe in God.

I was trying to disagree with you in a passive non aggressive way to avoid escalating things.
Because lets face it you can get a little mean and hurtful at times.
And I really don't think I can handle that right now, not after the day I've had.

Luckily my relationship with Jesus helps get me through those tough times.

People die in home invasions everyday. Sometimes entire families are murdered. Parents have to watch their children being raped, tortured and murdered.
This stuff happens all the time. And nobody ever thinks it will happen to them until it does.
And if a person wants a gun or guns, even fully automatic guns to protect their families then they should have that right.

In most cases, all this rare extreme cases, three masked guys, etc., this does not happen , or IF it happens, and it is a home invasion, if you carry a weapon too heavy, you are more likely to kill bystanders, too, as in: Your own family. Use a small revolver or pistol, and you are absolutely fine

I agree with you as well. Even in the worst parts of the U.S., what happened in this case would be rare (an encounter on your own property, but outside the home). The nice thing about a revolver is that it won't jam. My uncle is retired federal law enforcement and a former SWAT team member. He still swears by his .357 Magnum revolver for home defense. He has a variety of weapons, but that's his go-to weapon for his home. I prefer the Glock action. I'm very used to it... and I like the higher magazine capacity. Otherwise I'd follow his lead and go for a revolver too.

But with all that said, it's true that the sound of a pump shotgun racking the slide, or the very sight of an AR or AK, would convince most people to change their evil ways. I bet even our friend Johan would quickly find God if he was a bad guy and was staring down the barrel of an AR or AK. Either would produce an "oh, Lawdy!!!!" reaction in wrongdoers, I'd say. Yeah, I'd say ol' Johan would be quotin' scripture like a Southern Baptist preacher. :rofl:
