Former Lions great Alex Karras dies at 77

He was a terror on the field for the University of Iowa and the Lions and a star of one of the funniest movies ever made. Rest in peace, Mongo. We hardly knew ye.

I heard yesterday about him going into renal failure and didn't think he would leave this fast. I was torn on where to create the thread about this because he was part of the Fearsome Foursome & Monday Night Football, but since most people know him as Mongo or Webster's dad I placed it in the main part of Freeone's Talk.
