Finland Forced to Shut Down Universal Income Program after Social Experiment Fails

That was a pilot program. Finland put Universal Basic Income to the test for a two-year pilot to unemployed people who were randomly selected. The program was set to expire. And Finland is Social Democratic, not socialist: while it still has a lot of laudable social welfare programs for its citizenry free enterprise is still the law of the land.
 
A similar program in Canada (Ontario) got shut down after the new government was elected last year.
