No you must not, but nobody is going to stop you if you do.

A pornstar is paid to either have sex with another pornstar on screen, who is chosen in advance by the company that also hired the 1st pornstar, or to play with her self, either with or without using toys.

A prostitute is paid to have sex with essentially any guy or woman that wants to make use of what she (& in some cases, he) has to offer.

The big differences are:

A. A prostitute isn't paid to have sex with another prostitute (unless the 2nd prostitute wants to make use of the sevices of the 1st prostitute), while a pornstar doesn't get paid to have sex with someone who isn't a pornstar.

B. A pornstar only works in front of a camera, while most prostitutes will get angry if you bring along a camera

C. A pornstar acts (the moaning & cumming), something a prostitute doesn't necessarily have to do.

A slut is someone who has sex with other people without asking any money for it.

These 3 can be combined, just like being a doctor & a dentist, a cop & a thief or a baker, salesperson at the McDonalds and being a responsible father can be combined, but they're not the same.

What I don't get, and I'm sure it's been the subject of a thread elsewhere, is. Why is it that, EVERY person that acts in a mainstream movie is an actor, but not necessarily a star...but in porn, EVERY girl that acts, even if it's bad acting, or limited, or supporting roles, are considered a "star", but the guys in the movies are referred to mostly as "porn actors"?

Slut is nothing more than a narrowminded, uneducated term. Just because someone likes sex doesn't make them any less of a person and if they want to do it in front of a camera so others can enjoy it, then what is the big deal? I do not understand this attitude about sex, it is no more or less natural than anything else we do. And I say the same thing about prostitutes as well, if its what they WANT to do then I personally don't see a problem with it. As long as they do it and it is safe, and isn't a health hazard, I don't see a problem. George Carlin said it perfectly well "Selling is legal, fucking is legal, so why isn't sell fucking legal?"

And actually, why is this only being directed a female pornstars? WTF is with the double standard? Uhhh, there are male pornstars as well and I dont see them being called any names and they are doing the same fucking thing.

Just my :2 cents: but I have more respect for people in porn than those Wall Street scumbags that are making money off people's misfortune. At least with a pornstar, you know their intentions.
