It all began June 3. How many days have passed ?
Now : (Just yesterday, in fact) :
. . and it took these govt. ''scientists'' 6 weeks to allegedly determine that the culprit could in fact be, but not 100 % certain, that the illnesses / salmonella poisonings may not be as a result of Mexican imported tomatoes all along, yet, it is more "likely", but not 100 % proof positive, that the illnesses are potentially as a result of . . . certainly not a cleanliness issue within the pure as the wind driven snow, Mexican agriculture apparatus . . . but due to the fact that raw x"f r e s h"x Mexican produce "can" incur the toxicity of said salmonella, but only after it leaves the greater boundaries of mexico. (?)
You know . . I'm so very grateful that we would actually have a government that would take 6 whole weeks to bring this issue to close.
Incidentally, it is highly recommended that our elderly folks, the sickly as well as children should avoid eating raw uncooked / unprocessed tomatoes and peppers until further notice, so long as they are uncooked / unprocessed tomatoes and peppers . . SOLELY AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE as these imported fruits and vegetables "might" actually be tampered with once reaching Amerika, but not up too and including . . . . . :ban:

more / sourcePreliminary data suggest that raw, red tomatoes are the cause of a salmonella outbreak that has infected at least 145 people nationwide since mid-April, according to the Food and Drug Administration. At least 23 people have been hospitalized.
Salmonella is a bacteria that lives in the intestinal tracts of humans and other animals. The bacteria usually are transmitted to humans by eating foods contaminated with animal feces.
Now : (Just yesterday, in fact) :
sourceThe U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced today that one jalapeno pepper sample is a positive genetic match with the Salmonella Saintpaul strain causing the current Salmonella outbreak.
The positive sample was obtained during an FDA inspection at a produce distribution center in McAllen, Texas. The pepper was grown on a farm in Mexico, however, that does not mean that the pepper was contaminated in Mexico.
The produce distribution center, Agricola Zaragoza, is working with FDA to voluntarily recall jalapeno peppers the company distributed since June 30, 2008.
