I have to go way back before any of the more modern wrestling organizations to find my favorite wrestlers. My two favorites come from Vern Gagne's AWA.

My favorite wrestler ever was Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon. His name was a good one too, because that was about the way he wrestled. He would rake his nails across his opponents back, kick them, punch them, and then ram their heads into the unpadded turn buckle after he had unwrapped the padding from it. This would often cause a massive cut on their foreheads, and when they were bleeding profusely, he would start biting them on the cut he had already created! This guy really was a mad dog. :1orglaugh

One of his early tag team partners was probably my second favorite wrestler. That was the "Clawmaster" himself: Baron Von Raschke. He would inflict a beating on his opponent, and his signature final move was preceded by a marching "goose step" around the ring until he finally applied his famous "Claw" by putting his hand on top of the opponent's head and squeezing his fingers into their skull. Nobody wanted to be a recipient of the Baron's "Claw".
