Nothing quite like this time of the year in the states. The weather is getting cooler and football has reached its half way point. This is when my love for this game is at it's peak. Just wanted to get some feedback from the members here at freeones. Who is your favorite player or players that come out of professional football before the 1980s? For me it is too hard to pick just one. I will have to go with Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen, Jack Lambert, Jim Brown, Jack Tatum, Joe Greene, Larry Csonka, John Riggins, John Mackey and Dick Butkus in no particular order.
