Love the thread idea. I am a huge stand up fan and will be going to see Brian Regan in February. I saw Jim Gaffigan earlier this year and he was good. People that I would like to see added to the list would be Bill Hicks (despite being dead), Patton Oswalt, Mitch Hedberg was a comedy genious, Todd Barry and Mitch Faytel are also funny nowadays.

I voted Zach. But... what about David Cross? He's funnier than anybody on this list combined. Easily. He's fucking hysterical. He put out 3 hilarious comedy Cd's, is very fucking smart, has a great taste in music, edgy fella, had the best scetch comedy show ever (Mr.Show) besides the Kids in the Hall.
Aside from David Cross, what about someone like Patton Oswalt? Great fucking comedian. Or Dave fucking Attell. Don Rickles, George Carlin, Ron White etc. etc. you get fucking BELLY LAUGHS from these guys. Not this horseshit poll full of awful comedians. When I read the poll I thought Larry the Cable Guy, Jimmy Fallon would follow next, because they are equally as bad.
Also, dead comedy legends: BILL HICKS, MITCH HEDBERG, SAM KINISON; RITCHARD PRYOR. All of them were BRILLIANT stand up comics.

Ken Dodd. For those outside the UK won't have any idea whatsoever who he is.
I think George Carlin is a great comedian too. I think he is too real for a lot of people. Try reading his latest book "When Will Jesus Bring the Porkchops" its great stuff.
