Just noticed a post by Johan in another thread of me and was wondering how many of you guys think the name ClubSeventeen is wrong?

A lot of people don't seem to be bothered since they know the content is all 18+ and Seventeen is "just" a brand name. However I do think it's less of a problem in western Europe since the brand is bigger here.

It's a stupid brand name. That's like me naming a site 14yo Porn because all of the content was made 14 years ago.

I imagine the appeal of fresh content from fresh actresses is a large part of the appeal. I am and have been familiar with the name for some time and being familiar I do have a level of trust as your company is a trusted name in the industry as far as I know.

yes of course, it's super fucked up. What exactly are you trying to imply? That you have illegal content of underage little girls on your website? Because that's the first thing that came to my mind. So either you're aware that this is the thought it would stir in most people who have never actually been to your website, or you. didnt? Then that implies that you guys are extremely dense.. either way, it's creepy and fucked up.

Not really, the name is from back in the seventies when the legal age for girls in Holland was 16+
I understand how people might see it yes. But we imply nothing here, like said it's an old brand from Holland from times when the legal age was 16+
