Two things; It bothers me in the sense that there is good porn not being made because of it. There are great performers across the spectrum and to the extent one great performer can't or won't make a scene with another great performer is disappointing.

From the racism perspective, I understand that to make a good scene involves some degree of "chemistry", maybe even physical attraction. But let's be honest, porn chicks get paid to fuck other people. I've seen some of the same performers who don't do IR fuck some of the most ass end ugly guys in porn. So the argument of fucking guys who they only find attractive while flimsy to begin with becomes less credible IMO when I see that. Therefore what I conclude is the majority of these chicks who don't do IR don't do it because they themselves are racist, they fear a racist backlash from some in their fan base or the studio to whom they are contracted won't allow it because they fear a racist backlash. Which is business but still racist IMO.

There are some people who still find IR porn to be taboo for some reason. Not that people ought not be free to have their position on IR couples in general but we're talking porn which is about performances and fucking. Most IR porn tends to be gonzo and gonzo tends to be less structured but there is plenty IR porn that isn't gonzo and is more stylized and structured.

If you think IR porn is a smite or inherently degrading then a few things must be true; you either don't watch enough of it, are watching only the kind that is degrading (as there are other types of porn capable of being just as "degrading") or think it's somehow taboo.

I think to blanketly call all chicks racist who don't or haven't done it is wrong but to think racism on some level is not at play in most of these situations is probably naive or willful ignorance IMO.

Many performers (black dudes and white chick who do "IR") have already chimed in on the subject and much of their insight is already out there to be considered. It's not like people have no idea what happens in some cases with the stuff.

And yeah, "IR" generally refers to black or Asian in a scene with some other race or ethnicity. Don't ask me why but for example, there are plenty of scenes with women who are clearly not Caucasian and of latin descent who's scenes are not listed as "IR" when they perform with white men.
