Do You Watch Late Night Talk Shows?

Mainly asking about Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Myers, or the British guy on CBS.

As for me, I don't think I've watched any since Jay Leno was on. I wasn't really a big fan of his but find it better than the clips of the newer shows that I see now.

No. Used to watch Conan O'Brien all the time until about a year or so after came back to TBS. Used to watch Jimmy Kimmel over 10 whatever years ago mainly to catch the cousin Sal clips, unnecessary censorship and couple other funnies he would have going on. Watched Colbert Report for the first two, three years before I stopped watching that.

The other you refer to is the Scotsman Craig Ferguson. I watched him two three times a year.

I enjoyed both Conan and Letterman when they were in that 12:30AM PST on NBC. That was a great time slot back then.

The English guy is the pudgy fella who does those Keurig commercials.

Yeah. Conan on NBC was great! I like watching his Youtube clueless gamer videos. Aside from that I haven't watched late night shows in a long time. From what I hear nowadays it is all extreme political soap boxes. And Jimmy Kimmel always crying about something he doesn't like...

Ah, didn't he host some award show last year? The the British guy you're talking about? I think I know who you're talking about now.

I remember when Carson Daly had some random talk show at like 3am after all the big names were through With their shows :1orglaugh

Not anymore. I was a big Letterman fan back in the day. Before that, I'd catch Johnny Carson every now & again. But these days, every time I try to watch one of the newbies, I end up rolling my eyes and turning the set to another channel... or I just turn it off.

I haven't ever watched Colbert. I stopped watching Kimmel after he blew Obama on air. I was a fan of Conan until he had Hanoi Jane on a couple years ago and fawned all over her.

Dave was the shit in the 80s and 90s but I'd rather watch Adult Swim than listen to these mewling quims.

After Leno left, I watched Jimmy Falon for a couple of months, but I just couldn't stick with it. His style just didn't do it for me. And I didn't care for his band The Roots with that stupid idea of having a Tuba. Okay, it's actually a Sousaphone.

I was a big Dr. Ruth fan many moons ago but really enjoyed Conan and Letterman.

It's all about the monologue and the pre-recorded (or non-interview) segments for me. Leno's monologue was the best, and some of those cue card bits like police blotter and redneck repairs were good.
"That brit guy on CBC" - Carpool Karaoke and Rap Battles are good.
I religiously watched the Daily Show until Noah took over. Now every guest segment feels like an anti-trump advertisement. Maybe not as bad as Samantha Bee, but bad enough I'll tune out after the 2nd segment.

I think those, and maybe some other segments he films outside of the studio are good (there was that one where they taught an intern how to drive w/some celeb potheads.
But I feel his monologue is subpar and I usually can't sit through an entire show.

I remember as a youngin' I was sneaking watching TV instead of sleeping on a school night. I am flipping through stations and I see a :This program contains mature sexual themes and discussions. And is not affiliated with this station, etc... oh yeah!. Next thing I know Dr Ruth comes on and starts talking about stuff I can't remember really except where she gave advice to some caller about how to give a good blowjob the caller should only have the head in her mouth, slobber down the shaft and use the hand to stroke using saliva as lube.

I was grossly fascinated by this. Couple years later I found LoveLine with Dr Drew Adam Carrola. But will never top the visuals of this little old lady twisting her hand showing how to lube a invisible dick :1orglaugh

I remember watching this live and laughing so hard that I lost my breath.

I miss the times that Leno would come on Dave's old show (back when they were still pals) and talk cars (Ferrari vs. Porsche) and just bullshit with each other. I liked Dave more, but Leno is/was damn funny too. So was Johnny. It wasn't JUST political crap all the time, every night. But these new guys are just unfunny twinks IMO. I just don't think they're funny. Let Fall-on or Kibbels get fucked up by a little monkey in a dress and I'll tune in.

Hey Rey, I watched Johnny Carson as a little kid but will mention that he set the bar awfully high for late-night, sleepy-time television. Johnny, Ed, and Doc were a well-oiled machine and a hard to impossible act to follow.

I only watch when there is a guest I’m interested in watching.I usually pvr the episode and fast forward to the guest because I am so over the “Democrats are great and Republicans are evil” monologue jokes that is the norm for any late night host.I’m not even American and I’m sick of it.
For my money,Letterman from the 80’s until the early 90’s was untouchable. From the quirky guests like Art Donovan-old-time football player,Howard Stern before anyone else knew him,Jake Lamotta and a young Mike Tyson together to the running gags like Assman and the lady that worked in the office across the street that Dave would call often.

I used to. Back in the day, the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) CBS had on David Letterman ... then Craig Kilborn ... then Craig Ferguson ... then Drew Carey ... now James Corden ... ending with Byron Allen. I think Allen is still on. Followed by infomercials till 5 am.

I worked evenings when Conan debuted, after I got off work I came home and watched Seinfeld reruns and then Late Night. Thought they were going to cancel Conan the first couple of years because of bad reviews and poor ratings, but I liked the show, lots of good memories, I don't have time to watch much tv anymore.

this is one of my favorites:

other than my dad, Conan O'Brien probably had the most influence on how my sense of humor was formed.

Yes! And that one Amish chick in the pink that said her father passed is so hot. God I love Amish hot women.
