Do pornstars regret of what they did when retire?

A serious study. Please answer.

It's about whether or not a decent percentage of porn stars as well as porn beginners seriously regret of what they did once they quit.

Can they have a normal family life afterwards?
I see many issues at various community sites with a male or a female accusing/discovering their partner's porn film experience.

Please contribute if you know real-life examples of stuff like and how it gets resolved

From the amount of mail we get from girls wanting us to pull their babe section, I'd say a decent amount regret what they did and want to try to hide it from the internet.

Very good question. I am sure many are straightforward and honest in their descriptions of past work. We all have skeletons and regrets, but life goes on. Many stars are proud of their porn work, I find this honest and sincere. Petra has evudence that many change their minds and wish to stop. Fine. I try to respect everyone no matter what.

Video recording has been around long enough for people to know better and to think before they do something.

There's still black and white and silent films around. Now with the net things are a click away.

Really? They should think before they get in front of a camera.

I am sure there are quite a few, unfortunately.
However, I do not blame them, but society as a whole. We are way, way, way too conservative when it comes to our sexual opinions. Sex is quite a natural thing (and not something which should be tied down because of a few churches, but that is another story). Nudity - same thing. Stripping, spreading, sucking and fucking for money is made into way too big of a deal than it should be.

I concur.

Imagine 12 year old Dillon coming home from his friend's house after having spent the afternoon watching his mom on the internet sucking and fucking 19 guys.. followed by inanimate objects being inserted into her vagina, butt, mouth, and all the while, a whole new crew of men jerking of all over her, and in some cases, pissing on her.

Yeah, I'm sure Dillon is going to be quite fucked up after that day at his friend's house.

:crying:

By the way... Kudos to Petra for responding honestly to the OP's question.

I know some girls no longer have them after the whole wikiporno thing and some people who have been in porn have stayed under the radar in every way until years later. Natalia Rossi deleted her online social networking profiles after it was discovered she was a porn star and that drove her out of the industry. She later re-activated her real-life Facebook but deleted it in short order because people were calling her out on the porn stuff.

Damn. That is some pretty ruthless stuff. Actions always have consequences, however.

you mean to say you've never done anything in your life that seemed like a good idea at the time and then later regretted? people's opinions on things change, perspectives change, circumstances change and sometimes things that once seemed like a good plan later become something that one would rather not have gone through with.

On this, we agree. The ones I really love are the girls who do softcore stuff with Playboy under their real name then fuck under a stage name. Then they get upset with sites like ours who have their real name and stage name in the same place because someone in their real life might "discover" what they did. We're all about the privacy of the girls, but I really can't do anything to protect their anonymity when their realname/stage name come up on the first page of google.

Do you take them down?

Its dealt with case by case. I'm sure plenty of girls out there think I'm the coldest hearted bitch ever for not taking it down.

Everyone makes decisions in their life that they wind up regretting. And especially with jumping into a career like pornography, its hard to understand EXACTLY the repercussions it'll have until you're already in the middle of it. You may think you'll handle it fine, until one day...you can't. I'm sure there are countless other careers where people sign up and then realize they're in over their head...just look at the statistics on how many people go back to school a second, third, fourth time, or change up their careers. Most people have career regrets, should they have all known what they were in for when they chose their profession? No - because no one will ever know what its like until they're living it.

And on topic, I'm sure a lot of women in the adult industry regret it. Sometimes it just affects your life for the negative, not being able to have a more formal career afterwards, constantly being treated like the "pornstar" and not the actual person that you are...there are a lot of downsides to this industry. I'm not even in full blown porn and I've dealt with my share of BS - in this year alone my personal contact information was outed all over the web, which resulted in being stalked to the point where I had to move. I was also outed to my family, which understandably was a curveball. But do I regret my career choice? No. I love my job, and yes the negatives are extreme, but...at the end of the day, I'm happy with where I am and excited for where my camming career will take me. Unfortunately, not all women can share that POV.

It doesn't matter what you do in life, how different you are, as long as you're good at what you do...Success in porn, more than maybe any other occupation, equates to financial well-being...If you're wealthy, it doesn't matter what the world thinks because you are the master of your own destiny...however, if you come out of porn and you have little or nothing to show for it, then your life could become much more difficult.

They all have to regret it. Except for the ones sleeping behind the liquor store...they have bigger things to worry about.
I just can't imagine a 60 year old ex-porn star being proud of what she accomplished at 30.
"Oh my, I used to be able to take two big black cocks in my ass at the same time. Those were the days."

^ What do you care? :D As grown adults I'd hope that some stars enjoy their lives and work while they can before they get old and have to go through all those old growing pains and shit. Life's to short man, just tell little Billy or what have you to butt out... meh, whatever.

Very rarely and my choices in life have never had the long ranging effects a life in porn would have.

Most of my regrets are things I should have done sooner. Like invest in gold. That would have been smart.
Nice job schools do with not having a class on money and investments.

They use their real name or not, it will be found out. Most people seem to act like the net does not exist and nothing can be found out about them. Wrong.

By just watching the news and hearing teachers' pasts being found out and them being fired should send a message to anyone who can think.

It would be like a police officer not knowing he might be shot at.
That's why you do some research into the profession you wish to have.

As for changing jobs, I know many people do that. Depending on what you have done in your past will tell you if you can have that job.

Some do, some don't. Some flip out and go off the deep end like Shelly Lubben, and some are grateful for their time in the industry and the positives it brought to their life.
I have a feeling I will never regret it, since I don't feel any sort of shame or guilt about anything I've shot up to this point. I'm proud of my work and always say porn is the best decision I ever made. Not all of us were taught to be ashamed of expressions of sexuality, to be uptight or feel like we're "doing something wrong." I certainly don't.

I agree. I don't regret things, I learn my lesson and move on. I've never felt bad about anything I've ever done in front of the camera.
