Okay jsmoothpa, let's help you out with this business plan. Your first item for the first year is $850 mo. for an office. What kind of an office do you expect to get with this? What size? Where is it located? Is it in a building that currently leases other office space? Commercial office space starts at $12 sq ft. That's 8.5 X8.5. If you can tell me about something larger you can get on that budget then I have more questions to ask about the property.

How are you going to furnish it? Chairs, desks, cabinets, shelves. Pens, paper, folders. These all come with a cost. So does phone lines and INTERNET service. You can't get residential rates for these things. You must pay commercial prices. Did you look into these expenses?

During your first year you are going to have to travel. Not all of your clients are going to come to you. You will have to go to them. Sure, you may think your ideas are worth their time and expense. But what if you can line up 3 meetings in NY with people interested in seeing you. You have to line them up for one day and go there. Remember that in one day you can cut 3 deals just by showing up at their doors. How will this be paid for?

You have to crunch your numbers again to calculate your first year's expenses. 10K just won't do it. I'm not trying to shatter your *****. I'm just showing you the realistic picture of what you are up against. If you think that 10K is going to do it then show me how.

Please, just answer my questions. I would like to know what kind of an office you can get for $850 mo. Is it in a business complex or in a downtown location? If you're looking to get a bigger apartment for yourself and call it your office then forget about that. That's *******. If it is legitimately zoned office space then how do you fill that office with equipment? How do you pay for your travel?

I would say to you that it's too bad you lost that place but it is time to move on and look for another. It's all about location. If you are going to be spending your first year going after business then it has to be a place convenient for clients to get to. Close to metropolitan transportation. People will be flying in and they want a short hop from the airport. I looked at office prices and you are fortunate because a downtown Pittsburgh location is within your budget.

You have to decide upon your space requirements and needs that fit into your budget. If you want more space then you are going to have to pay for it. They charge by the sq ft. If you can find space for half the going rate then you are looking at a 14 X 10. That's a 7 X 10 reception area and a 7 X 10 office. No studio, no bathroom, that's it. Anything cheaper will not be anywhere near downtown. It makes no sense to set up an office that people can't get to.

Now, from where you live, do you have transportation to and from your office in downtown Pittsburgh?

This is false.

Over 60% of 'true Americans' (or citizens, at least) do not have the blue book in question. And neither parent need be American for citizenship (whether one thinks that shouldn't be or not is of course separate from how things are).

I sort of applaud some of you for engaging Will as far as you do, and I also sort of wonder if you realize that his mind doesn't occupy reality and therefore getting any reasonable engagement from him is a totally moot point. The country in his head may be given the same name and virtually occupy the same basic geographical attributes, but it otherwise has nothing to do with the United States of America.
