Cecil, a 13-year-old lion, wandered out of his sanctuary in a national park in Zimbabwe this month, following the scent of a potential snack.

At the other end of Cecil’s search was a lure, placed there by hunters who, conservationists say, wanted their prey to cross into unprotected territory so they could **** him.

Cecil, well known to those who visited the Hwange National Park in western Zimbabwe for his jet black mane, was ********, according to conservation officials. His corpse was left to rot in the sun.

Zimbabwean officials said that Dr. Walter J. Palmer, an American hunter known for ******* big game with a bow and arrow, ****** Cecil, and was being sought on poaching charges.

A big-game hunter who prides himself on his skills in hunting without firearms, Dr. Palmer was profiled in 2009 in The New York Times, when he shot an elk dead from 75 yards with a compound bow in pursuit of a new bowhunting record. The Telegraph in Britain reported on Tuesday that he paid around $54,000 for the opportunity to hunt a lion.

Thousands of people have signed a petition, intended for Zimbabwe’s president, demanding justice for Cecil, and angry ****** rights supporters have gone online to express their outrage at Dr. Palmer.

Once he was named as the hunter who ****** Cecil, Dr. Palmer’s dentistry website was taken offline, and social media users quickly created a parody Facebook page for his office. His Yelp page was also overrun with indignant commenters.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported on Tuesday that Dr. Palmer’s dentistry office had abruptly closed. A makeshift memorial featuring plush ****** toys had been set up outside the office on Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement, Dr. Palmer defended his actions, saying that he believed what he had done was legal.

“I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt,” Dr. Palmer said. “I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt.”

He said he had not yet been contacted by the authorities in Zimbabwe.

Dr. Palmer has had past legal problems related to hunting. He faced probation after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to making a false statement to federal officials about where, exactly, a black bear was ****** in Wisconsin.

Attempts to reach Dr. Palmer on Tuesday at his home and his office were unsuccessful.

It's not an either/or. Glenn Beck made a big fuss over Jimmy Kimmel getting emotional over the ******* saying “Jimmy Kimmel cries over the story?!? This is what he connects with? This is what the West finds important?” He went on to say the same thing you said about the Planned Parenthood controversy. My response to him would be that everything doesn't have to be an either/or, black and white situation. You can care about Cecil and PP at the same time. You can say that climate change is one of the greatest threats to humanity but at the same time still focus on ISIS and the threat that it poses.

To be fair to the asshole he did a service for the herd of rhinos. The male rhino in question was attacking rival younger males and juvenile rhinos sometimes ******* them even though he was done breeding. The $350k he spent for the permit to **** this ****** helped equip game wardens, pay for vet services and a number of other things that helped protect the remaining rhinos. Could the rhino have been shipped to a *** somewhere? Maybe, but then the other rhinos in any *** would be put in danger from a rogue bull. Still a pretty chickenshit way to hunt but I don't fault him.

Apparently Lions get ****** everyday in Zimbabwe that they could care less about Cecil. To them it's another Lion biting the dust. Which makes sense cause they have other things to worry about such as, SURVIVAL! We as Americans have luxuries, food, electricity, and good cool water to quench our thirst on hot summer days that we tend to forget (more like, not giving a fuck) the struggle the Zimbabweans endure. Yet, we in America give a **** about a Lion most of us have never seen or planned on seeing. In contrast, the Zimbabweans make an excellent point, half of me wants to side with them, and I too want the dentist to give Lions free dental care. But, the other half of me says fuck'em, fuck that Lion, and good job dentist dude (now sell Cecil's hide on ebay so I can buy it.)
