Did Kaylynn Really Have a 4.0 in College?

Does that surprise you?

Perhaps she likes to read and write or perhaps she is a mean tennis player??:dunno:

Chicks can be pretty and smart in 2007 ya know?

I don't know. :dunno: Without some inside proof on her that seems like something that would be impossible to know for sure. I wouldn't assume anything either way for something like that based on a rumor.

Why not. A tough average to maintain usually means good grades, scores and a good relationship with professors, and faculty. I would never push someone on who didn't do a good job in the course and deserve it, so why not?

Asia Carerra is a bonafied(sp) genius and member of MENSA. So what's the big deal about a 4.0 gpa?

I do not understand what a 4.0 means. I come from Ireland and I guess that in the USA a 4.0 means something like an upper second in university here.

Anyway whether she does or does not, why can't a girl who works in the sex industry be someone who gets good marks or grades in her studies? Why should this even be a question?

Mel

A 4.0 means perfect grades- all A's. There's a scale for that, where an A is worth 4, B is 3, C=2, D=1, and F is 0. Depending on how many grades you have they add them all up, and take the average for your grade point average.

Of course, complicating things is the fact that you can get the + and - with grades, so that increases or decreases the points, except that you can't get more than 4 for a grade.

That probably makes things clear as mud, but that's how grades work here in the USA.

Nothing wrong with being clever whilst being good looking and good in bed. I mean, you class this as a rumour so that means that you're either stupid or very sexist. I don't see how your surprised.

I can't find anything that says she had a 4.0.

I found this funny from her wikipedia page:
Before working in the adult industry she worked a number of jobs: security guard (after seeing Armed and Dangerous), cashier, bagger and stripper. :D

You would think anyone with a 4.0 or a member of MENSA could do something better with their lives. I guess people will do what they want to do.

Why do you get to make value judgments about what people do with their lives? I know a corporate attorney who dances at night just because she enjoys the work. I don't know what her GPA was, but I know she's smart as a whip. Don't assume that, just because someone dances or does porn, or w/e that they made bad grades or can't find "something better" to do.

There is a bit of a difference between dancing and porn. Sadly, the firm probably would make a value judgment and fire your friend if they knew she was dancing. I don't think they'd want the sexual harassment ticking time bomb...

I don't know where you read this about a 4.0 g.p.a. (did she say this?) but also on another board there is a saying that "whores lie" and that might be the case here.

They would fire her. I know, not personally, a teacher that was a stripper and she was fired. Also, a teacher in Kentucky that had been in porn and she was fired.

I suspect you're right, though I don't know what that has to do with the discussion about GPAs here.

I could see something like that happening. Unfairly or not, even if we don't stereotype or put a stigma on people in the industry, others will. I wonder if people that get into it even think about it and save enough money for when they have to get out given the chance they might have potentially screwed up the rest of their lives and made it harder for themselves after it. (I’m sure a huge number don’t and just as many blow their money away as soon as they get it.)

Stereotyping of any kind is just plain wrong in my way of thinking. Kudos to her and to all of that bring the public what they want, yet never losing track of themselves in the process. Never failing to hang onto what they know they are inside and self worth. Its like a child that gets told they're worthless all their life. They often end up being their label.

Not all stars, porn or Hollywood are druggies and /or illiterates I'm sure. I would have never question the statement myself. It wouldn't surprise me a bit for her to have carried a 4.0. Hell, many of these ladies are brilliant business women and run their own show as well as other sister companies they have started. *thumbs up to them*

Once again though I have to wonder why people come in here to find dirt on stars. I see no point in berating those that you come to porn sites to see at all. Biting the hand that feeds you. lol Just my :2 cents:

Nothing directly. I was responding to a remark you made earlier in the thread. "Smart people" like lawyers and doctors can do things like strip and try out for Pro Sports cheer squads. The Wall Street Journal has a Law blog which I read all the time and they had a post with 2 Lawyer/Cheerleaders...1 was fired by her firm when they found out she was cheering for the Carolina Panthers. She was hired by a new firm. The other danced for a different team and her firm didn't care. The firing firm "claimed" they thought they'd lose clients if a client learned their attorney was dancing.

I think a professional girl, even a lawyer, could moonlight as a stripper and get away with it. She'd probably wear an disguise and strip on Saturday nights and get away with it.

I seriously doubt any working professional--male or female--could do porn on a moonlight basis. There was that guy pornstar--Kyle Moore? Kyle Somebody who worked in Law and was fired when secretaries found out he was doing porn on the side. I don't think he was an attorney though. I think he was an accountant for the firm?

Dean Wormer--why use the word "whore"? Isn't that offensive to women today? If women feel too offended by what goes on in Porn, than word will get out, and women will stop doing porn and we'll "get screwed" so to speak...
