:hatsoff: HERE HERE, congrats Pistons!!

Man, I live in Los Angeles - it's like a graveyard around town tonight. You'd think everyone's moms died at once...

Finally, Detroit hits the top of the list for something other than the murder/crime rate!!! I think it's great that the "underdogs" won! L.A. has been so dominant for so long. It's good to see Detroit upsetting them!

Maybe Motown is on the upswing!

Alls I can say is hard luck Karl Malone you CHUMP, looks like taking the minimum wage so they could sign Payton to the Lakers and stack the SHIT out of the team didn't pay off.

Too bad Kobe didn't show up either, oh well,

Shoulda stayed in Utah, CHUMP.

Pistons are the champs.

Long live the new 'Bad Boys'

Lakers got fucking OWNED in that game. Best of all, it makes the Bucks look better (they got knocked out by Detroit in the first round).

i have never seen a team get fucked in the ass harder by the refs than the lakers......i was disgusted..not taking anything away from detroit cause they are a great team but it was fucking bullshit how the lakers didnt get calls.

but I feel sorry for Malone who have played for 20years and have been one of the best players in history.. and never win a title

Karl Malone can be added to list.....

Patrick Ewing:weeping: (I'm a Knicks fan)
John Stockton
Charles Barkley
Reggie Miller:mad:
Gary Payton

As much as people say Lakers didn't get calls, It wouldn't matter anyway......

Oh shut the hell up, you sound like the Lakers trying to think of excuses as to why they got their ass handed to them. The Pistons completely dominated this series. Plus they were losing by like almost 30, so the foul calls would not have meant dick. At least they finally made them play.

Interesting, but most felt the Lakers were the ones getting the calls all year. Can't say whether your point is valid (I don't watch that horrible, horrible sport), but maybe after getting the calls for so long, seeing an evenly officiated game might make one think their team is getting shafted.

Beyond that, the owner of the Pistons, also owns the WNBA Champs (I don't watch the NBA, why the hell would I watch bitch ball?) and the Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning.

And, one more thing. Love to see the fans of Detroit being hard core Wings fans in April, now they've all become Piston fans. The bandwagon in Detroit comes in more then one colour. Losers.

After about an entire season of the refs doing that to Lakers oppoenents (like, say, both Bucks games) I say it's about time the Lakers got a taste of it. Besides, the refs weren't calling shit both ways.

This victory by Detroit shouldn't even be considered as "major upset" because anyone with a half a brain knows that the Lakers weren't even that great of a team this year. The problem is that every time the lakers come up with a big win, all the commentators and every Laker fan thinks the the teams of 2000, 2001, and 2002 are back. Let me tell you this team is FAR away from those teams. The Lakers were unimpressive in the regular season and would have finished FOURTH in the western division if Sac hadn't lost on the last day of the season. The lakers struggled with Houston while still beating them, and struggled with SA until they pulled their heads out and still got lucky in the series with Fish's 0.4 shot. Minnesota would have easily dismantled the Lakers if Cassell had been playing and then we wouldn't have even had to talk about Detroit "Upsetting" the Lakers.

PS- I'm sort of a Laker fan (and clippers.... i'm all for LA).

Forget Karl Malone, he had more then his chances to win one as the star in utah and lost... he does not deserve a ring and neither does Gary Payton.... all those two were going to do was pigback kobe and shaq to get their rings... The Lakers should have been swept!!

And Malone goes on the bottom of that list, hell both those guys (him and Payton) had a chance at a ring when they were at the top of their games,

well, not really,

remember they were up against that guy who played a couple of games for the White Sox, and was in a Buggs Bunny movie I think?

What was his name again?
