The chemicals used in sex toys may be toxic, so don't use them too often. :(
Some sex shops resell used sex toys, buyer beware. :(

Use natural sex toys like cucumbers... then you can wash them again and have lunch. :D

That guy Braverman looks like a shifty character.

DildoGate !!! :surprise:

Thats why glass toys are my favorite. No harsh chemicals, can be boiled to be sterilized and don't absorb bacteria like some softer materials would.

The article is partly about the increasing use of sex toys.
I just added some info about sex toys that most people don't know about.

A friend that worked at a sex shop told me about it.

If you google toxic sex toys you'll find some more info on it.

Is there like a timer or anything that goes off when they're done? That would be awesome if at the sound of a bell some lady in a funny hat goes "Oh, my dildos are ready"

So when they complain about how they have to work with a bunch of dicks they don't just mean the other employees they are around.

Yeah. Or if they ever appear on Jeopardy and Alex asks them what they do they can matter-of-factly answer "I draw veins on fat plastic cocks."

Which reminds me, I've got to get that one for the wife.

you'll find these in the cheaper things. youll know it because they smell.

Tantus is on the ball with expensive silicone stuff but its good quality. of course, silicone lube with silicone toys a a no-no, but some high grade manufacturers will say go ahead.

Then again, nowadays I seem to see more and more products that warn that as per the California Laws / Studies or whatever, the products contain chemicals that can cause cancer. I saw a warning like that on the cord of a Power Adapter just the other day. It said to wash hands after use. O...Kay.

ah, but you must realize something. adult toys are sold as NOVELTIES. meaning, they are not meant to be used on or in your body. meaning the company who sells them has now taken absolutely zero liability if you injure yourself in anyway. that includes getting sick too.

a power cord is meant to be used and most likely it contained lead in it, meaning they have to warn you or they can get sued. you use it with your hands, theres no getting around it. a sex toy, however, is a different story.

and that should clear it up for everyone.

Well according to wikipedia, phthalates are in meats, milk, and butter, so apparently I shouldn't consume any of that either.

I'm sorry, I'm just being stubborn. I don't want it to be true :crying: I love my sex toys.

Oh my gosh I totally noticed that on one box that a toy I bought came in! I think it was one of my rabbit vibrators, it said it was not for use in or on your body. I'm just like... wtf? So why make it then? I mean if it's supposedly just a novelty, why make it even have a vibrating function and just make it the shape? The only reason it vibrates is for sexual pleasure. There's no novelty in that.
Grrrr.

I know a lot of cam girls have written blogs about fake silicon being used n toys, and how a lot of companies lie and actually use harmful stuff in the production. It's not a secret.

And it's one reason why i prefer to use my fingers.

Put a condom over the sex toy if you're going to put it in your mouth, pussy or butt.

I hope no condom brands have a disclaimer that they are only novelties... :(

Use a cucumber, natures edible dildo, comes in many sizes. :)

I like to imagine that women have been using cucumbers as dildos for thousands of years. :)

Once it is dry you can then sprinkle the Cyberskin powder on it. You can also use corn starch. Be sure to stay away from using talcum or baby powder as these have been linked to a possible cause of ovarian cancer.

For those who wonder if they can get STDs or infections from sex toys, the answer is yes. You can get an STD if you share your sex toys and you can get an infection from sharing your sex toys or even using them without properly cleaning them just by yourself.

The sad part is it wouldn't surprise me at all if they actually paid better, had better benefits, and treated their employees with more respect than the places I have worked for.
