This appears to be the woman earlier known best as "Debbie Gibson" who as
a singer/songwriter hit the top of the charts mainly from 1987-90. Hits include
"Only in My Dreams" and "Foolish Beat" and "Shake Your Love".
Some would say that she was a precursor to Britney Spears, although Debbie's image was a lot "cleaner" than her counterpart.
In recent years, she has moved into performing on Broadway,and occasional
touring.

So it looks like she now will actually beat Britney to the punch by going to
Playboy... wow... may be a career revival attempt... but that hasn't worked
much for Debbie's main '80s rival Tiffany...lol
