Rented it for PS4 after not even knowing what kind of game it was. I don't like horror/spooky games though I did play and finish The Last of Us which was a surprise. What made me do it was the story. Ellie is amazing. Joel is cool. They made it interesting enough for me to keep pushing on. Fuck that one generator part. Fuck it super hard.
Day's Gone feels like The Last of Us in a few ways. I feel like the storyline isn't all that captivating. It's no Last of Us, that's for sure.
First day I played it I was like meh. I almost returned it. Then I gave it another chance, and actually enjoyed exploring the woods. I'm a week or two in, and its feeling flat to me. Repetitive ambush camps, rippers, finding scrap, berries, herbs. I think at this point in the game, we needed to end up in the mountains or something. I'm getting a little bored. AAA title, yeah?
