Dark Souls

Finally opened my latest edition of XBOX magazine (I subscribe but sometimes too busy to even open them when they come) and read about a game called Dark Souls which had a rave review, anyway I promptly ordered it (eventhough I've got so many others games unplayed) but would like to know if anyone else has played it and what they think about it? Apparently it's quite difficult and you'll 'die' often but any game with a description like this grabs my attention:

Demons, spawned by the wrath of gods, have brought darkness to the world. Stricken by the curse of the undead, many have lost their souls. Players must battle hideous demons and unimaginable monsters to collect souls and find the Eternal Flame of Life, which is losing its power to restore souls and keep the eternal night at bay.
