NYPD: Crime Spikes Dramatically In Parts Of Big Apple

New York City’s overall crime rate could increase for the first time in decades, driven by alarming spikes in ******, ***** and robberies in many neighborhoods.

A 400 percent increase in ******* in tony Williamsburg; a 400 percent increase in ***** in Sheepshead Bay and a 250 percent increase in killings in Washington Heights are all troublesome statistics that have Mayor Michael Bloomberg and police officials concerned.

“We worry every day about trying to make this city safer,” Mayor Bloomberg said Monday.

I bet he does worry about crime all day and night sitting comfortably in one of his many homes.

In March 2009, Forbes reported Michael Bloomberg's wealth at $16 billion, a gain of $4.5 billion over the previous year, enjoying the world's biggest increase in wealth in 2009. At that time, there were only four fortunes in the U.S. that were larger (although the Wal-Mart ****** fortune is split among four people).
