Can someone explain to me why Craiglist shut down their erotic services section?

Even though, by law, everyone agrees that the Attorney Generals in every State has no legal standing. So why in the world would they shut it down?

When I look in the Adult Services section, there are practically no posts so that must mean the girls are posting on some other website.
It just seems crazy to me. With so many posts being centralized on Craigslist and there willingness to work with police authorities, it would be a good thing.
Next thing you know, some politician will say that we can't have adult forums
