Klinsmann needs to bench Dempsey and Zardes. If Dempsey is still playing in the next WC, we stand no chance. The best defense against Zardes is to let him touch the ball. He has no touch or technique at all. Let the young players get some experience against quality competition. Frustrating to watch the same poor play game after game.

The US looked good vs. Costa Rica. Part of the reason is they let Jones and Johnson loose. Too many times in the past the ball would go to Bradley and Bradley only, then it would be distributed. The US played a much more fluid game against CR.
I still say Zardes is horrible. His first touch is lousy and he has no left foot. Dempsey can still be disruptive, but he is not the force he once was.
Copa is good, but the US needs to be focusing on WC qualifying and the players who will be playing in it.

Zardes still sucks. I am surprised he didn't put that one wide. Dempsey's goal was solid. In WC 2014, everything went through Bradley in the midfield. This tournament, Bradley is playing more of a defensive role and the ball is spread around the field. Johnson and Jones have had time with the ball to be creative. Jones out the next game is gonna hurt. Since it will likely be Argentina, it really won't matter.
Holy crap, Zardes is so incredibly inept. His first touch is worse than mine. How he is still on the roster, let alone the starting line up, is beyond me. Finishing 4th is no disgrace. I wouldn't have picked them to get past the quarters. I watched ESPN for a few minutes this morning and saw the two hosts say the 3rd/4th game was unnecessary. Bullshit. Our young players need all the experience they can get against top talent. Playing in the MLS or riding the pine in Europe doesn't replace real time competition. Klinnsmann will coach through the WC and then he will resign. Until the USA develops players capable of handling the midfield as well as Bradley does (and he is solid,not great), we won't be able to climb higher. When we get dominated, it is because the midfield is completely over-matched.
