Connecting a PC to a LCD TV via VGA

Hi yall

I am interested in using my PCs VGA output to display what is on my monitor on a 52 inch Samsung LCD 1080p television. All kinds of questions have poped into my mind, but the most important seeming one is this. Do I need a special kind of vga cable to connect the vga out on my PCs video card to the VGA in on the tv or...will just any one do.

The reason I am wondering is that I have read that there are all kinds of "kinds" of VGA, like SVGA & QXGA & who knows all what for diffirent resolutions. This along with some shoping I have done for cables which have diffirent lables on them for what "kind" of vga they will support are making me think that if I want my video card to be able to spit out 1,920 x 1,080 pixles to the TV & have the tv be able to get them through the cable, that I need a cable that is rated for it.

So anybody have any insight or knowledge in the area. I havent run into the issue when using monitors with vga before. In fact I never knew there was diffirent names for the diffirent resolutions. I just changed the resolution to what I wanted when I wanted & it seemed to work fine all the time. Never payed any atention to wheather the included vga cable was "officialy capable" of suporting the resolution or not.
