computer question: weird symbols apprearing when i just want the normal ones

why when i type certain keys such as a question mark i get É

why are all my keys appearing different on the screen than they are on the keyboard

Not sure what game you're trying here but...if the keys you type appear as smth else on your screen...make sure your language settings are what you expect.:2 cents:
