College Baseball Anyone?

Anyone on here (other than myself) a fan of baseball at the collegiate level? If so, what are your thoughts on the Regionals going on right now?

I'm a Miami fan but they don't have their strongest team going forward so anything they can accomplish will be a plus. Here in Houston, everyone is excited about those perennial contenders and former national champions, the Rice Owls.

Miami is always 1 of the teams that will always be in the hunt. Being an ACC fan, I'm pulling for them in their regional.

I'm a Clemson man, so I'm hoping they can bounce back form the loss to Ok St tomorrow and win their regional.

I HATE that - it's like nails on chalkboard to me. That's why I don't watch a lot of college baseball. I did see Strasburg pitch on ESPN classic on Friday though. The hype on that kid is well justified.

Texas and ASU tonight should be killer....the college world series doesn't get nearly the same hype as other college championships. It should. Awesome competition by tremendous athletes. I appreciate it.

My first date with my ex-fiancee in Omaha was at the 1996 final game. She got the tickets for free from some shriners she knew. That's really about the only good memory I have of her.

You couldn't be more correct. I'm just pissed that the sport doesn't get covered until the Supers, and then mostly regional coverage.

As for Omaha, if you're a fan of college bb, then that city is the destination for you. I was out there for the entire 2006 Series, and it was a blast. I'll be interested to see how it is in the new ballpark next year.

Wow....I was impressed with the way Texas came back last night....especially against a seriously good pitcher like Leake. ASU has to go up against UNC now and then take on the Horns again if they can win. If not....see ya.

Sorry, I was out of town for the weekend, and didn't have internet access, but that was a pretty damn stellar round of semi-final match-ups. Probably one of the best I've seen in some time.
