Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Great point Rey. One of things I've discussed with the better half is they removed thermometers that had mercury because of mental health issues, but there is an amount of mercury that now they say we can ingest. Is it possible because of mercury, lead and other items that now mental and emotional ills are more prevalent?
I've read how lead may have affected the ancient Romans, especially the lead that was in their favorite beverage: wine. And there was a show on the History Channel about how lead intake basically drove certain members of a Chinese dynasty completely mad. But I'm not sure about whether lead or mercury intake has anything to do with our issues. It's an interesting question though. We seem to be becoming increasingly fucked up, but I don't know why.
Powerful assault rifle is a very different thing than a small caliber single fire pistol.

Yes, that is correct. But considering that the overwhelming majority of gun crimes are committed with small caliber handguns, and not "assault weapons", I'm still at a loss to understand the point being made. As for assault weapons being "powerful", most of them are MUCH less powerful than even the lowest caliber hunting rifle. Most fire rounds that are medium power cartridges. I'm not arguing that AK-47s or AR-15s with 75 round drum mags aren't more effective killing machines than a six shot revolver - they are. I'm just saying that their actual use in gun crimes is about as common as 200 mph sports cars being used in bank robberies. When they are used, it makes the news. But they're a small, small part of the issue.
