I find circumcision disturbing... Keep sharp knives away from down there if you don't mind.
And before anyone gets up tight about it: the health benifits of circumcision are bullshit. Sure, you may reduce the risk of infection, but that only applies if you don't wash. It's like saying foot amputation will prevent athletes foot.
Americans have adopted the practice as a norm. It is a silly religious ritual that should have died with many other outdated religious practices. Hell, mass religion should die as well, but that's a topic for another debate.
My wife is a pediatrician at the city general hospital (read: only people without insurance give birth there). In that hospital, circumcisions are done only if the parents pay out of pocket. It is an unecessary surgical procedure that costs the state extra money. The hospital will not do it unless the parents REALLY want it done and have the cash to pay for it.
In a private hospital, she says that it depends if your insurance company covers it (of course you can also pay out of pocket), some do, some don't. Medicare does not pay for it, hence it is not done in county hospitals. My wife says she has performed 5 circumcisions. But remember, proper jewish circumcisions are not performed by a doctor, but a rabbi.
