I watch downloaded movies on my PS3. So fucking what? You don't like it fuck you.

Anyway, for those of you who also download movies and watch on your PS3 it's apparently only a matter of time before you'll come across some kind of message saying the audio is protected by Cinavia. Of course this pissed me off so I searched and found a fix for the problem. Sony decided to include some kind of anti piracy **** with their recent update. To that I say sony, fuck you! Mind your own fucking business!!! Sony already fucked us by having our CC #'s accessible to whoever the fuck wants em, don't take away my ability to watch free movies.

of course the fix doesn't work. So now I can't watch free fucking movies on my tv through my ps3. Fucking stupid ass ****!

I used my PS3 to stream movies for a couple of years and also ran into the copy protection BUT it appears it was only with movies produced by Sony Pictures. So saying you can't watch any movie anymore is highly exagerated

Anyway about 3 months or so ago I just got me a media player, cinavia problem solved

This isn't good news. I download tv shows I don't have time to watch and play them through my PS3. I hope these aren't affected.

It only effects movies produced by Sony cos you know PS3 is Sony too, so it detects the protection
TV shows have not had any problems with it at all.
And it's nothing new, it's been there for the last 2-3 years already so if you didn't run into any problem now I would not worry about it.

Ya looks like its been ther since 2009 but you must have finally come across an exact clone ripped sony video with the watermark still encoded on it for the ps3 to detect it.

I would literally die if M$ somehow block ripped videos from playing. 99.9% of my movies and most of my regular watched tv shows are downloaded.

I stream from my PC to 360. If your not streaming, give that a try and see if it still happens...

Sorry dont own a PS3.

I use WMP in Windows 7. The 360 and WMP kind of work in sync. I just have to manually allow the folders where my videos/music are to share through other devices..ie the 360 and a few other sercurity options.

I did a quick google "streaming to ps3 with wmp" and it looks basically the same way.
