Most of us here in this thread missed the point---a very important political point.

China used "human population" as a weapon and plan for an overwheming "human bomb" to dominate the world in the next 25-50 years.

It is so sad in California the population of Hispanic has risen to 40% and our prison system in South-West is more than 50% Hispanic.

China saw the rise of India population to 1.1 billion and will overtake China in the next generation. China continues to need migrant workers, a competitive edge to produce cheap but better quality products.

China is edging into the next generation of technology and exporting cars to Europe with Italian designs and Japanese engines and German partnership.

The next world war WW III is not fought by bombs and guns but a trade war between China and US.

China has revised their economic index and poised to overtake Germany in 3-4 years to become the 3rd largest economy in the world, next to US and Japan.

The threat comes from next door India with booming service-oriented business and low-cost labor in Vietnam, South-Asia countries. China needs to go back to the basic to increase the population in the country sides and increase the migrant labor pool to fight the "World War Three".

U.S. has already lost the war when the European companies i.e. Seimens, BMW, Benz and others signed on with China in many high tech industries. China still has 10-25 years to go to catch up the technology war.

The recent food qualities import ban on fishes, toothpastes, pet foods etc indicates an escalation between Congress and White House with China.

Both Democrats and Republicans are in agreement to curb the huge imports by China (the next waves of imports are cars made in China, designed by the Italians, engineered by the Janpanese and partnered with Chrysler and German automobiles companies !

I am not typing that you would be a bad parent . And I mean no offense, but in my opinion that is a very selfish reason to create another human being. Simply so you will be remembered. - If you are a guy most of the times your kid will have your last name or even these days there have been mom that have given their last name to theit kids, I wonder why we have last names if is not to remember those who were before us. Also would you like to raise a good contributing member of society and remember for being such a good parent for bringing help change things for the better and not for the worse. What I find selfish is when you have kids because you just don't care to protect yourself and then don't want to even be a parent, so the Goverment becomes the father figure and take care of it.



And I am fully cognizant that your reason is a very common one. It's that kind of thinking that I think needs to change. - I don't think most people think like this...maybe some of the folks in China want more kids to help them with the farm or the politicians so they can have more control of the goverment. What do you proposse on how we change people's minds?
Children should not be deliberately created to fulfill our own desires. They should be created to fulfill theirs. Our wishes/desires should be secondary.
- An individual is just that, his own little world, yet on how you raise that individual with abstract values, religious or morals is what makes the difference if they are going to be a son of a bitch to society. My desire is to upbring hard working no nonsense kids to this world, but the last word will be on them-

I am still going to have a tribe and we are coming over for food so you better have some when we pay you a visit. :eek:

Our opinions clearly differ on this.

Personally, I wanted children very much at one time. I still do. But since I feel like there is a possibility that I might not be a very good parent then I will not have one until that belief in me (or lack thereof) changes.
I am not willing to risk my child's happiness simply because I want one. My unborn offspring means too much to me. As does yours (to me).

Yeah, if you need food you can have some. But if you smack your child around if he/she gets out of line; I'll smack you around or kick you out or both. Not that you are that kind of parent. But if you are...


Anyway. Back to the China subject for me...
