American footballs not hard to understand easier on the eyes for males maybe but not for me. I think cheer leading should be a sport. It's a ton of hard work and they do compete.

A cheerleading squad was axed in favor of a women's volleyball team. Well, it looks like the spectre of political correctness has reared it's ugly head once again. The manly looking lesbos on the volleyball team get preference over the cute hetero cheerleaders.

I still remember a Buffy episode where a mum possessed her daughters body (she was a witch) so she could try out as a Cheerleader again, that showed me (someone from a country that doesn't have cheerleaders) how competitive the 'sport' really is.

It needs to be treated as a sport, with the appropriate safety measures. A cheerleader is more likely to be crippled for life performing than a football player.

Cheerleading may not be considered a sport but those ladies are damn fine to look at, makes you feel like an American when some girl gets flipped in the air and the wind catches her skirt and you can see her frilly panties!

I think anything that you might break something flipping around and jumping up in the air gets to qualify as a sport. I mean if curling is a f'ing sport then cheering qualifies.

Actually she became evil and turned Buffy into a rat, somehow the spell got reversed and she became a rat and like 5 years later Willow returned her to human form after which she got Willow hooked on magic. From what I remember her mum was still trapped in that cheerleader trophy :eek:

If poker is considered a sport (and apparently it is, because I've seen it on ESPN), then cheerleading sure as hell can be made into a sport.
Right now, it's not, although they do compete in those tournements.

Remember when Cheerleading was about actual cheering for a team and not some vain ego trip with fancy moves to prove one group better than some other group of people that are in a similarly vain ego trip with fancy moves. What's next are we going to have real cheerleaders to cheer for the "sport" cheerleaders? Or maybe we can have booing and heckling a team from the bleachers be considered a sport now also.

I'd actually rather watch American Football and not understand it bored out of my skull than watch England play again

Amy wasn't evil when she turned Buffy into a rat. She was under a spell that she made for Xander which backfired and caused all of the women in Sunnydale High to be in love with him.

Amy didn't start to become evil until Season 6 and then became full on evil in Seasons 7 and 8.

Ah yes, now I remember. Even Buffys mum wanted a piece of him and he couldn't believe it when Buffy herself turned up half naked trying to seduce him. Crap I've hijacked another one of my own threads, this must be a record.

Yep mommy was. And she turned herself into a rat to avoid being burned on a state for being a witch when buffys mom was being told what to do by two children that had been dead over and over again for like hundreds of years.
