Vanlee1... I, sadly do have back problems but I've come up with some pretty kick ass (time consuming ) costumes. I've won the past 2 years at the place I go. This year I'm doing Marge and Homer Simpson OR Barbie and Ken (now wishing I still had my hair blond for that lol) ... But no matter what I choose... I'll post pics... usually do 2 beers then water

As far as couples costumes go, it is fun to have a rider and something to be ridden on... that is if you don't have any back problems. Last year I was a wood handled broom and she was the sexy witch who got to use me and abuse me all night long

At least you don't have to travel too far for the show. We try to eat a little something and stay hydrated to keep the effects of the alcohol to a minimum.

Your experience with the assholes at the theater is just one reason I rarely see a movie in theaters. Never mind that it's expensive, too loud (I have some hearing damage, and would like to preserve what I have left), and I'm not a big movie buff anyway. Plus, when you watch 'em on DVD, you can pause 'em and go outside for a smoke without missing anything.

Sounds like you've been having a pretty enjoyable time lately. (All I do is work and sit on my arse.)

can't say that I blame you. It's outrageously expensive to go to the movies - when I went the other day there were 6 of us ... thankfully I was just paying for myself! I have a "bucket" that's refillable until the end of the year so for only $3.75 I can fill my giant bucket with popcorn and just have to buy a drink so that's not so bad. I'll be sad to see the New Year come and have to go back to full price snacks lol! I'm a huge movie buff. Probably since I feel like I spend my entire life making movies, it's nice to kick back and watch someone else's work for a change Watching at home is a plus for me for the same reasons, but I'm also competing for tv time when I'm home. Someone else always wants to watch something else so I just give up and make solo movie dates

I've taken a little time off because I've got a CRAZY end of the year schedule as always. It's travel here and there, holiday, filming almost daily, more traveling, more holidays, etc. It gets crazy so I've learned to take my breaks where I can get them

I have been a movie buff since I can remember, the very first movies I remember watching at the drive in theater with my family were Back to the Future and European Vacation.

vanlee1 ... I agree that todays movies have a lot to live up to. It's funny now to watch a "new release" of an old movie with all the special effects then go back and watch it in it's original form ... such a HUGE different with today's technology.

I just started Officially making my littlest ones costume this afternoon ... I've got a few days at least ahead to go on it and I've not begun ours yet (haven't even bought anything to start them lol) but I'm sure I'll get them done. Sadly, since Halloween lands on Friday this year .. I'm guessing the costume contest will be on the 25th which gives me even LESS time to complete ours, but it is what it is lol
