I'm sure this has been posted about before, but how does one go about becoming a pornstar for his/ her career? lol, I just have this vision in my head of filling out an application and handing in a resume

As Spleen said, if your serious, you better be ready to do a whole lot of gay scenes before you do any straight ones.
Best piece of advice right here. Take it from someone who knows. It really seems to help if you know someone in the industry. More specifically a girl in the industry. A lot of the dudes, maybe even most, got in because they knew a girl who was in the industry and they were given a shot. Of course it doesn't hurt if your hung and don't have hangups about fucking in front of others.
Actually, there are girls in the industry that will "blacklist" you (meaning refuse to shoot with you) if they find out you've done gay scenes in the past. There was a male performer complaining about this not too long ago when people leaked info about his past. So if you start out doing gay scenes, you may find it quite difficult to cross over into the straight realm. As Spleen said, if your serious, you better be ready to do a whole lot of gay scenes before you do any straight ones.
GFP (Gay For Pay) is how male pornstars make the most money. The most a guy can make per "straight" shoot is $150 to $250.
You were offered $1000 a scene after only having an interview with a producer? I find that very hard to believe. And any producer who would pay a rookie male performer $1000 a scene isn't a very bright businessman.not at all true. when i was 18 i was introduced through a friend of mine who worked as a dj in a club also owned by a man who produced pornographic videos. i asked him for a shot and he gave me an interview and offered to have me do 2 scenes a video for him and 2 videos a month at the rate of $1000 per scene. and this, mind you, was all strait scenes. had i not been so nervous about the idea once it was a really a possibility, i would have jumped all over it. damn i wish i could turn back time....
