Car shopping sucks

Unfortunately my cars engine blew last week and I've been ****** to look for another car and I've come to the conclusion that car shopping sucks

Is is worth it to get another engine?

nah, the car is 15 years old and who knows what else is going to go after I spend the money on that. And that will probably be about 3-4k once its all installed and etc.

I agree. You always end up feeling like you got fucked when you drive your new car out of the lot. I'd recommend looking for a decent used car being sold by a new car dealership. The salesmen usually are a bit more low pressure on the used side and you can often find a sweet deal on a nice ride that isn't going to break the bank. I bought a 2002 Chrysler 300M 5 years ago....paid about $12 grand for it, it's been paid off for 3 years and it still runs like a champ. I'll never buy another new car.

But I do agree, the whole car shopping experience is horrific.

TBH, I've always enjoyed car shopping. I usually know exactly what I want when I go in. I've already done my research on features and pricing. And 9 times out of 10, I already have financing lined up. All the salesman has to do is do the fire dance and get me what I want at the price I want. Fucking with salesmen is almost like a sport to me. I love it! :D

I admit though, it would be a lot more stressful if you have to make a quick deal, because your current car has conked out. But still, use the internet and have your numbers in front of you. It's a buyer's market still!

Go to consumer reports, spend $20 bucks on their buying report. They do all the work for you and all you do is walk in, test drive and tell the salesperson what you're willing to spend. Once you say, "Thanks for your time" and begin to leave, they always crumble....

It is a great time to buy a car right now....

yeah those salesmen are just awesome to deal with.
good luck.

and dont ever give them your full name or any numbers until youre sure you have a deal.
even a credit check can affect your credit.

I'm probably going to get a VW or a Honda, I've had both in the past...never a problem

It sucks even more when people realize the way they have made cars the last couple of decades at best your just getting rid of an old piece of crap for a new or newer piece of crap and spending a lot of money on it.
